Looking for more than music? A full-on experience? Make a plan to check out one of musimelange’s “multi-sensory concerts” just a few blocks south of Yard 8. In its eighth season, musimelange offers classical music paired with food and wine, designed to give attendees an opportunity to awaken all of their senses. The founder of musimelange, French violinist Anne Chicheportiche, wanted to bring different cultural influences to Miami through this creative series. Get tickets for the “musijazz” concert Feb. 25 if you’re looking for an extra vibrant show. Tickets start at $55. It’s the perfect way to spend a kickback Monday evening, catching amazing local music right in your neighborhood.
Less than a year on the heels of his debut album, The Return, British keyboardist and producer Kamaal Williams is bringing his unique brand of jazz to Floyd in Midtown Miami. At $10 plus a $1.25 booking fee, it’s a steal to catch this London artist, whose album was rated an 8.0 on Pitchfork, and called “elastic and funky” by NPR. Check out his music ahead of time on Spotify to get a feel for the stuff he plays. You definitely don’t want to miss this show, at a venue just a couple of miles from Yard 8. Williams will perform March 7.
If you’ve been following the saga of Meek Mill, you won’t want to miss his first full tour since being released after a five-month prison stint in 2018. The Motivation Tour follows the debut of Mill’s latest album, Championships. The first stop on Mill’s much-anticipated tour kicks off Feb. 19 at The Fillmore Miami Beach, just 5 miles from Yard 8. The Fillmore Miami Beach encompasses the true sights and sounds of Miami and has played host to some of the biggest names in live entertainment. General admission tickets for The Motivation Tour start at $49.50 plus fees.
